Diabetes Self Management Education
This nationally accredited program consists of a series of six classes that are conducted in a small group setting. We cover an overview of diabetes, nutrition, medications, physical activity, blood sugar management, complications, and healthy coping strategies. Diabetic patients receive the tools they need to successfully manage their diabetes. Times and dates vary and classes are offered throughout the year. Individualized sessions are also available. Diabetes Support Group
This group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. at Southwest Memorial Hospital, South Campus, Diabetes Education Room. Individuals with diabetes share information, give and receive support, and learn new ways to manage thier health at each meeting. Cancer Support Group
The Cancer Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month in the Hospital Annex Community room at 20 S. Market Street. Women’s Cancer Coalition
