meet the healthcare needs of the community?
- How will the growth of existing services and the addition of new services impact the need for
additional physicians?
- What changes in the medical staff can be anticipated over the next five years to physicians
retiring and relocating?
- What can the hospital, working with the medical staff, do to ensure a favorable and
economically stable practice environment?

Physician opportunity to practice hospital medicine in one
of the most beautiful areas of southern Colorado.
Southwest Memorial Hospital is seeking 2 FT and
multiple PT Hospitalist to implement this new and exciting program.
It is our mission to "provide high quality, accessible healthcare for the people
in Montezuma County and surrounding areas." A Hospitalist program has been
developed in order to meet the needs of our patients and physicians.
- Qualifications: American Board Certification in Internal Medicine or
American Board of Family Medicine with acute inpatient care management including
ventilator management for adults within the last 5 years. Pediatric experience a
plus.
- Schedules and Coverage: The Hospitalist schedules will be determined by
the needs of the Hospitalists. Coverage for the facility is 24 hours. Average
census for the Hospitalist is variable.
- Compensation: Competitive compensation packages included with full time
commitment.
Cortez Colorado is located in the 4 corners area offering a small town
atmosphere. Montezuma County is surrounded by 3 mountain ranges, including Mesa
Verde National Park and red rock canyons. Southwest Colorado offers a variety of
outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, down hill and cross country skiing
as well as biking and golf. Our weather allows you to enjoy 4 seasons without
the extreme temperature changes.
