Diabetes Self Management Education
This nationally accredited program consists of a series of six classes that are conducted in a small group setting. We cover an overview of diabetes, nutrition, medications, physical activity, blood sugar management, complications, and healthy coping strategies. Diabetic patients receive the tools they need to successfully manage their diabetes. Times and dates vary and classes are offered throughout the year. Individualized sessions are also available. Diabetes Support Group
This group meets on the second Thursday of every month from 6:30-8:00p.m. in the Hospital Annex Conference Room, 20 South Market Street in Cortez. The group is facilitated by an experienced diabetic. Guest speakers are invited as requested by members of the group. For more information please contact Don Kirk at 970-739-4064.   

Cancer Support Group
The Cancer Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month in the Hospital Annex Community room at 20 S. Market Street. The group is facilitated by a local nurse practitioner and includes guest speakers and demonstrations. For more information call Marilyn Griebel at 970-565-8556.
 

Women’s Cancer Coalition
