Tony Sudduth, CPA, FACHE, FHFMA

Chief Executive Officer

Anthony “Tony” Sudduth has more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare finance including 27 years as a CEO, COO, and CFO for both not-for-profit and for-profit facilities.  Through his leadership, organizations have been able to reduce costs, improve revenue and achieve growth targets.  He holds a Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and has his Masters in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.

Tony is originally from Lexington, Kentucky and appreciates our close-knit community.  He is enjoying all the beauty of Southwest Colorado with his wife Pam of 21 years and is looking forward to hiking all the local trails in the spring.

 

Rick Shrader

Chief Financial Officer

Rick Shrader has over 27 years of healthcare financial management experience. Rick has primarily worked as a CFO or Revenue Cycle senior leader and has owned a healthcare consulting company specializing in financial and operations management and revenue cycle from 2009 to 2012. He has also worked for a healthcare real estate investment trust and has been in financial leadership roles for both proprietary and not-for-profit hospital organizations throughout his career.

Rick holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Louisiana at Monroe: a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in History. Rick and his wife, Kandice, reside in Venice, Florida with their 3 of their 5 children: Eric (20), Thomas (17) and Jeb (17). The Shrader family are sports enthusiasts and very active.

 

Karen Labonte, MSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Karen Labonte most recently worked as a CNO for a 5-hospital for profit system in Northwest Arkansas.  She has over 36 years of nursing experience.  Her clinical expertise is in Labor and Delivery, OR and Cardiovascular Operating Room.  She has worked in leadership roles in OB, Med Surg, OR and Quality prior to becoming a CNO in 2009.  Karen has an Associates Degree in Nursing from Southern Arkansas University, as BSN from the University of Maine and a MSN from Benedictine University.

Karen and her husband Keith enjoy outdoor activities and spending time with their 5 grown children and grandchildren.

 

 

 

  Travis Parker

Chief Human Resources Officer

Travis B. Parker is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Southwest Health System, where he manages the Human Resources department, overseeing administration of hiring, retention, termination, personnel records, legal compliance, compensation benefits, and long term staffing strategies. His responsibilities include the development and administration of personnel rules and regulations, pay and job classification structure and programs for employee training, safety, health and morale.

Travis loves to spend time with his wife of 32 years, his two children, their spouses, and his three grandchildren. Travis and his wife also own and operate a Karate school in Cortez and love the physical as well as mental aspects of studying martial arts.

 

Jeremy Adair

Chief Compliance Officer

Jeremy Adair is relocating from the Denver area bringing diverse healthcare compliance experience. He graduated from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2016. He is looking forward to joining our close-knit, rural community and enjoys spending his free time with his girlfriend, Taylor, and their dogs. They enjoy camping and mountain biking and are looking forward to all the outdoor opportunities Southwest Colorado has to offer.

Elva Morgan

Interim Practice Administrator – Southwest Medical Group

Elva Morgan is Interim Practice Administrator for Southwest Medical Group, a group practice of primary care and specialty employed providers including Orthopedics, Podiatry, Primary Care, General Surgery, Sleep/Pulmonology, Women’s Health and Obstetrics.

Elva Morgan has over 30 years of direct practice management experience in group practice settings and integrated for-profit health care systems. She served as the Vice President of MSO Services for a large, privately owned multi-hospital system in San Antonio, Texas providing strategic and operational support for a start-up physician group that employed both ambulatory and hospital based providers across the city. She has also served in Regional VP and Director level positions providing operations leadership and management to hospital affiliated physician practice entities and MSO employees. She has been an owner and Chief Operations Officer of a healthcare consulting group in the North Dallas areas for the past 10 years.

Elva enjoys spending time at home in Plano, Texas with her husband of 25 years (Shine), twelve year old daughter (Sofia) and fur baby (Lucie). Free time is spent at their lake home in the Texas Hill Country or traveling.

The CEO, CFO and CNO are Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) employees.  Southwest Health System, Inc. has signed a 5-year management agreement with Community Hospital Consulting.  They provide the operational oversight of SHS through the Senior Leadership team and report directly to the SHS Board of Directors.
