Become a Member of the SHS Board of Directors

The Southwest Health System Board of Directors is seeking candidates to join the Board of Directors

Serving through Board Governance can be challenging and rewarding. The SHS board’s anticipated time commitment is 8-10 hours per month for board development, education, committee meetings, and board meetings.

Interested applicants must complete an online application and provide their resume/CV for review by our Nominating Committee. Applicants who applied will be contacted following the closing of the application cycle. Interviews will be conducted on August 10th or 12th in the Kiva Conference Room at Southwest Memorial Hospital.

Join the Southwest Memorial Hospital Foundation Board

The purpose of the Southwest Memorial Hospital Foundation is to support Southwest Health System, Inc. in providing high-quality, accessible health care for the people of Montezuma County and surrounding areas, and to assist in meeting its need to recruit and retain physicians and other medical providers, obtain new equipment and furnishings, continue to provide effective and efficient emergency care, and other services in partnership with the hospital.

About the position:

  • Voluntary
  • Commit to attending monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of every month from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
  • Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events
    • Hospital capital projects
    • Cancer grants
    • Medical equipment
  • Serve a three-year term
